5th International Symposium of Sculpture in Paliani, Geece, Crete

5th International Symposium of Sculpture of the Municipality of Paliani

PARTICIPANTS:

Giannis Tsigenis, Yann Guignabert, George Nikolakakis, George Chouliaras, Skilhim Kefalia, Fotini Xatzaki, Gabriel Valentin Grama, Beata Rostas, Kyriakos Rokos, Manolis Xarkoutsis, Adeline Montassier

The Municipality is located in a distance of 17 kilometres from the city of Heraklion , it is constituted by four Municipal Apartments. Each of the allocates beautiful natural regions and Byzantine churches with epicentre the older Byzantine Monastery of Crete the "Holily Abbey of Paliani”

The visitor can come across old fountains and wine-presses, and contemporary wine factories, that produce qualitative traditional wine.

The subject of the 5^th symposium is :

«Στην πέτρα της υπομονής προσμένουμε το θάμα» (Ερωτικός λόγος, Γ.Σεφέρης)

“At the stone of patience we await the miracle” (Erotikos logos, G.Seferis)

It takes place from 23th of July till 12^th of August 2010.
